Heritage in Schools

We had a wonderful day with Lorraine O’Sullivan from Heritage in Schools!

Lorraine taught us all about Samhain, seasonal changes,recyclers in the River Greise and our school garden. Everyone had great fun identifying the fascinating creatures they discovered.

Well done to all the children who knew the names of so many of these amazing recyclers!

For the past three years, Lorraine’s visits have become a much loved tradition in our school and we’re already looking forward to her next one!

Halloween

We celebrated Halloween in style!

A huge thank-you to all our wonderful students, staff and parents who dressed up and got into the spirit for our annual Halloween Open Evening.

Fractions

4th and 5th class have been exploring fractions. They enjoyed using fraction dice to find equivalent fractions & also enjoyed ordering fraction number lines. Well done everyone!

Multiplication

Third and fourth class have been learning about multiplication. They have been looking at all the different ways to solve multiplication sums and we also played array bingo.

Open Evening

Our annual Open Evening will take place on Wednesday October 16th from 5.30-7.30pm. Perspective students, their parents and members of the community are all welcome to attend to help celebrate our students’ wonderful work. Parents and staff will be on hand on the night so why not join us for some light refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you all.
