Grangecon National School .

                                                                   The Junior Room have been working very hard with our artist Mairead from the CRAFTed programme. We made beautiful batik bags and now we are starting to make bird puppets.

Happy Easter! Thanks to everyone who supporteded the easter raffle! It was a great success, with lots of people winning lots of yummy easter eggs! Thanks to the Easter Bunny for visiting with all his chocolate eggs too!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! The school will be marching in the Baltinglass Parade on Saturday. Students and parents are to gather at Wampfler at 12.15pm. The school will be closed on Monday the 19th.

Congratulations to all of 2nd class who made their First Penance on Wednesday evening and a big thank you to everyone who sang beautifully in the choir.

The First Penance will take Place on Wednesday the 14th of March at 7.30pm. Children who are making their First Penance and those singing in the choir should wear their uniform.

Grangecon N.S. has been selected to participate in CRAFTed. As part of this programme, organised by the Crafts Council of Ireland and education centres, the junior room will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a professional craftsperson. Find out more on Mrs. FitzGerald’s page.

School will be closed on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th for Mid-term. School will re-open on Monday 20th.

We will be going to the panto in the Gaeity Theatre in Dublin on Friday January 20th to see

Robinson Crusoe and the Carribean Pirates. The bus will leave at 9am sharp and return at

4.15 approx.
