Happy Christmas

December was a very busy month in Grangecon N.S.. We celebrated the 8th of December with a special Mass in St. Oliver Plunket Church.  We had two fantastic Christmas Play Performances. We did lots of seasonal work in class and rounded off the term with a wonderful visit from Santa Claus. Thank you to the Parents’ Association who organised Santa’s visit and to Mick Kehoe for providing the transport!

Thank You

A big thank you to the Page Family who have donated two beautiful Christmas trees to the school. The Senior Room have made beautiful crepe paper decorations to adorn their tree. I think you’ll agree that they did a wonderful job!

Spellings and Sounds

We have been looking at a variety of ways of learning our spellings and sounds.

Christmas Play

Our annual Christmas play will take place on December 12th @ 7pm. Please come and enjoy a great night of entertainment. A raffle will be held on the night with lots of prizes to be won. All proceeds go to the school so why night bring a relative or friend along.

Shoebox Appeal

A big thank you to everyone who donated to the shoebox appeal. As always the children and parents of Grangecon N.S. showed their immense generosity. A special thank you to Fiona for ensuring all the shoeboxes made it to their collection point.

Maths

The Juniors and Seniors use ‘Ready, Set, Go – Maths’ to help them learn all about maths. They have been finding different ways to make up numbers. Can you see the pattern?
